Hello,

This forum has been such a tremendous help for everything since I joined and I would like to give back.

Feel free to ask any questions and I will try to answer....

My background is on the left, but also I came here as an international student studied, worked and then applied for PR.

And I finished International Business from Centennial College and Strategic Relationship Marketing from George Brown - Toronto

I am a Nigerian currently residing in Nigeria as well. I am planning to come down to Canada to study with one of my aim being settling permanently in Canada afterwards. I am married to my lovely and adorable wife and we are both blessed with 2 glorious and intelligent boys.

I will want them to also join me in Canada so we can all concentrate as we seek brighter future in the best country in the world.

Kindly advice me in details what is the best way of achieving my aim without any hitch so that we can go ahead on the process as soon as possible.

I await your response.

Many thanks and kind regards.

You can definitely come here to study, so if you study for one year you get a one year work permit and 2 years you get two or may be three years of work permit.

The fastes way to get PR is through the Canadian Experience Class which I applied under. You will need one year of work experience in the NOC category 0,A or B.

In terms of sponsorship, you can sponsor them as a dependant but you should have a solid good background how you will support them.

I came to Canada for my undergraduate and been by my self since then, everyone from my family is back home in India.

So I graduated from Centennial College in International Business on a three year work permit, I worked in retail part time for a year and a half I applied under the Canadian Experience Class and got my PR in 7 months.

I got my PR in Ontario and always been in Scarborough and worked in Toronto downtown

Hey,

Centennial was a great experience, it has a really big campuses and the biggest is at progress ave. which is where I studied.
The professors are alright and the crowd as well mostly Indians. Through I enjoyed my experience at Centennial, I prefer George Brown since I felt Centennial was completely disconnected from Toronto which is the business capital and since being a business student I didnt want that. I worked on campus in the office for 2 years.
There are lots of companies and businesses in Scarborough but if you are looking at top companies to work in they are only in Toronto.

I have lived in scarborough for almost 7 years now since I came to Canada and travel to Toronto downtown to work. Since scarborough is the suburb its a lot more quieter. Scarborough is a mixed community area, some areas in scarborough would be Indians, Sri Lankans, Whites, etc etc... There are tons of Indian shops and larger supermarkets such as No Frills, Walmart.

There is a misconception that Scarborough is not safe, I have never had a problem.....

So is it advisable to state in uour study plan that you plan on settling down in Canada permanently after your studies?

Thanks in advance :)
