GIC under general category

I am applying under general category and i have opened GIC account . My question is :
Can i submit GIC 10,000$ certificate as a financial support under General Category?

Under general category u can either get gic or education loan an financial proof can u share ur profile

Yes you can use GIC as a financial support . i also gonna use this. You need to transfer 10.100canadian dollar in this from your own account or joint with other ( dad.mom ) it is mandatory to transfer from your account . Third party not allowed in this

I did from my dad's account and having GIC with me.

friend i heard from some visa experts that if one transfer money in GIC from his dad or other third party account then there maybe trouble in refund policies in case of refusal .. One should transfer from their own account or with joint account

Funds are always wired back to the a/c from which originally sent to Scotia.
