HI

I AM INDIAN CURRENTLY LOCATED IN DENMARK. I WANT TO APPLY FOR STUDENT VISA AND MY AGENT SAYS I CAN APPLY FOR GIC . I HAD PREVIOUS REJECTION FEW YEARS BACK AND NOW I WILL APPLY UNDER GENERAL CATEGORY. PLEASE TELL ME AS INTERNET WEBSITE SHOWS GIC IS FOR INDIAN STUDENT UNDER SPP.

Gic is only for students in India and china.If you want to pay for GIC.ur wire transfer must be sent from your bank account in your name (or, a joint account with a parent in India)

It means GIC can be done..if you pay from INDIAN account Right ?

Please let me know

I would like to know how many days it takes to open gic and transfer fund and get a letter.


My file is ready just waiting for GIC.

Depends on how much time it will take for wire transfer. Some banks do it in a day . some banks take Upto 5 days .. so all together 5-10 working days for the whole process.

GIC is not mandatory for general. It is only required for SPP. if you can show funds in ur account or ur sponsors account then it is fine.
Education loan approval letter helps even if u dont take loan amount letter.

I will make online application as I am in Denmark . There are no offices in Denmark and I cant go to India to file it.

Hello coolraman!!
How can a bank approve loan without having study permit/visa ? My bank gave me a letter stating that they are ready to give a loan of 25L for my higher studies in canada.is that enough ?
