Hi Guys,

I am having a difficult time getting through to CIC at the toll free number, 18882422100. I have been trying every morning for 2 weeks now because I have some extension forms I need to fill out but am not 100% sure if I am filling out the right ones :(

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I work afternoons and can only try in the morning. How can they possibly be experiencing high call volumes all the time???
 
I called twice this morning starting at 8:57. I had no difficult getting a response. When I call I always go all the way through the steps, finally entering Client_ID and birth year, and then I wait to talk to a person. Is this what you do as well?
 
Thanks for your reply...I can't even get past the 'press 1 for english' part...
So frusterating when you need answers to something >:(

Try at the beginning or end of the day. Which is 8am and 4pm EST. You still have to get through all the steps however.

It can take quite a while. Of the times I've called, I had to wait on hold for about 20 minutes before someone finally got to me. Just try to be patient on the phone (I know it's difficult).
 
Press 0 to get an operator
 
I've had more luck getting through pressing 2 for French. Then when I get a French-speaking person, I just ask to switch to English. They have to be bilingual for this job.
