hi,
I'm in an unclear situation here: i'm currently in the US doing an internship, and my study permit is expiring on august 31st, 2017.
I'm waiting for my CAQ (required for studies in Quebec), and then I want to drive up to the border to get my study permit (I have a US green card), before I leave on vacation.
I will be going to Hawaii for the last 2 weeks of august, and plan on returning to Canada on September 1st.
Here is the catch: the CAQ takes a very long time to be processed (takes about 6 weeks, i'm on the 4th week), and I'm worried that it won't arrive in time before I leave on vacation.
In that case when I come back on September 1st, my study permit will be expired. Can I still drive up to the border and get a new study permit?
