Hi, I am staying with my husband and i want to move to Canada without him.
We do not have any marriage certificate. Should i get divorced if i want to re-marry in Canada? Or will it create issues in getting PR?

He's your husband, but you don't have a marriage certificate, but you can get divorced? Were you legally married to him?

You want to move to Canada alone (apply for a PR just for yourself) and then marry someone else in Canada later?

Could you clarify a bit?

Till now, we do not have marriage certificate. We did not get it done for any reason. But now, as my family is moving to Canada, i want to move with them and i do not want my husband to accompany me.

If you have lived with him for over a year you would be common law. Given that you are married you don't qualify to go to Canada as dependents of your parents. If you are 22 or older you also wouldn't qualify as dependents of your family.
