Getting parents from Philippines

Hi. Im currently on process with my permanent residency under common law of Canadian citizen.
Now, i understand that the process could take 2 years or so, my question is, as soon as i got my pr can i take my parents to come here as visitor? Thank you!!!

A quick google search will tell you that your parents may enter Canada on a tourist visa, irrespective of your status.

If you're looking to sponsor them to come to Canada permanently, that is another story.

I see. Im currently waiting for my open work permit to be released. Can i apply for their visa through cic websit or they have to apply it back in the Philippines?

Strongly suggest that you/they use an agency in the Philippines. They know what to ask for, even things not listed as requirements. We used an agency and nanay's visa was approved in 4 days. If you think you will visit the U.S. while they are here, do that in the Philippines also, (for a U.S. visit visa you must apply from your home country).
