Getting married to an internal student

Hi guys, I recently found your forum is very useful and helpful to me. It took me awhile to decide to create this topic. My BF and I met and fell in love in Canada, we are getting married soon . I am a Canadian citizen while he is an international student. I dont know if he can stay in Canada for longer after we get married ? Or can he apply for becoming permanent resident without leaving Canada?

He will not lose his study visa for getting married so nothing will really change for him. If you want to sponsor him for PR after you get married, you can do that.
