Getting in touch with a live agent

Hi,

I would like to get in touch with a live agent at the Sydney Office.

We were asked to submit additional documents and I would like to ask if they have received them. I tracked my document and it says that it was delivered however no update has been made on my application progess. Please help

When we submitted additional documents, they did not acknowledge it for over two weeks after receipt.

They have hundreds of applications to process and are not super speedy, so don't worry too much that you haven't received an update yet. It is good that you had a tracking number and you know they received it.

If you are still keen on asking for an update now, you would probably be better off sending in a webform inquiry than speaking to a live agent.
The experience people have had on this forum seems to be that usually they are on hold for literally hours before they reach a live agent. I've also heard on this forum that the live agents reached by phone commonly provide misinformation and are not that helpful. You also do not have their answer in writing, so should they provide you with misinformation that later causes issues somehow, you would be unable to prove that they were the ones responsible for giving misinformation to you.
However, if phone is still your preference, you should check the letter you received from the Sydney VO when they first confirmed receipt of your application. It includes the number you can call to contact them.

Hey, I’m not sure you can call any of the offices (but I could be wrong). You can however call IRCC on ‭1 (888) 242-2100‬ and select 3-4-1-0 to speak to an agent
