Getting application "sent back"

A lot of people on here have mentioned that if you're missing a document your application is mailed back to you at the beginning stage.

Does this happen before the AOR? Do you get any notice or email or does your package just show up back in your mailbox?

Hi,
Yes it happens before AOR, pretty much at the same time AOR would come if your package was okay. There's no notice, it just shows up.

Happened to me and what a mess - they do not send it back the way you prepared it trust me on that one.
Canada post leaves a notice in your box if your not home. The notice has no indication that it's from CIC Mississauga, but there is a tracking number, so you can definetly track where it came from. (Lol I lost sleep over this) espically knowing I was heading to the post office the next day to pick up my package.

What document are you missing?

None, I checked a million times but have that standard nagging anxiety that I forgot something. Will be a relief to get my AOR but seems like it's kind of taking awhile and Sept people are just now getting theirs.

When was your app received by the CIC?

The September applicants are still right on track for the expected AoR processing time, which is currently around 45 days from the receipt date. People whose apps were received around the middle of September have been getting their AoR in the last week or so.
