Long story short, I got arrested for something I did, got a diversion and got the charges withdrawn. My fingerprints are still on record and will be on for another 2 years until it's automatically destroyed (couldn't request it earlier). My question is if this will affect me getting a US J1 visa and renewing my study + work permit. I've gotten US visas before the charges with no problem.
