I'm trying to arrange a medical in Sydney for a permanent resident visa (spouse sponsorship).
The visa application guidelines state that as from 1st November 2012, I don't need to bring a form to the medical, and that the practitioner will supply a form IMM 1017, which should be submitted with my application. However, the practitioner in Sydney (Medibank) is insisting that they can't provide an IMM 1017. They also say that I need to bring a completed from with me, which will be supplied by the visa office _after_ I submit my application.
Does anybody have any experience with medicals in Sydney or with Medibank? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
