Hi everyone,
This is my experience, hopefully it would help someone who are concerned.
My fiancee (Canadian) and I (Vietnamese) did a wedding ceremony and a wedding party in my country in April but we didn't legally get married yet and we planed to do the marriage paperwork in Canada then apply for the inland application. I was overthinking for months of what I should tell the border and did a lot of searching, blabla
So I just entered Canada 2 days ago with my fiancee. We got through the border smoothly. An official asked me what my purpose of visiting Canada is then my fiancee said " we are planning to get married" and that's it, no more questions. They didn't ask for my return ticket (even though I had one) or search my bags.
This is my third time in Canada on my TRV (once a year and I didn't overstay at all).
My first time was tough cause after getting through the border, they put me in another area (there were a few people in there too). I was waiting there for hours that made me so nervous then the official just asked me a few simple questions like where I will stay in Canada, address, how long I will stay there and asked for my finacee's phone number and my return ticket. They asked me to wait for a few minutes and let me go.

So my advice is just to be honest with the officials and tell them the truth cause its legal to get married in Canada on your TRV. Do not try to lie to them cause the worst thing could happen is they might figure out that you're lying and you might be banned from entering Canada and it would impact to your application later on. (Also its better to have a return ticket with you just in case they ask for it).
Good luck!
