Be ready for the application of Ontario. OINP is expected to resume sending the NOI from November/December 2016, as per their update on website. Just be patient for a few more weeks.

Ontario anticipates that it will receive its 2017 nomination allocation from the federal government before the end of November 2016.
Given the positive effect of the program on Ontario’s economy, the province continues to engage the federal government on nominee numbers.

Don't tell me you read this update today?

I hope it will re-open soon guys.... so many are waiting.

Ontario pnp may change since new rules will take place in november, things could remain the same but it is very likely that they change since OINP will start after big announcement in nov. 1 st. One never knows with this system.

there are no updates on the website.

Immigration Minister John McCallum to reveal 'substantially' higher newcomer targets

The new levels will seek to offset projected demographic challenges in Canada, including an aging population and growing labour gaps. In 2016, the target was to permit 300,000 newcomers to the country.

The government's economic growth advisory council has recommended ramping up immigration levels to 450,000 people a year over the next five years, with a focus on skilled, highly educated and business-oriented people.

450k - for this the score should go down to 300. :P

450k does include - family members, refugees, businessmen, dependants of applicants, PNP applicants, LMIA applicants, other applicants outside EE ....

300 will not happen under current point distribution.

From the ADVISORY COUNCIL ON ECONOMIC GROWTH CANADA
Assuming historical ratios, a targeted increase of economic immigrants of this scale implies approximately
75,000 additional principal economic applicants (those qualifying through the Express Entry system as result of
a job offer, provincial or territorial nomination, or perceived skill through a review of human capital
characteristics) plus about 75,000 of their family members per year. An increase in the economic stream is
not intended to be offset by decreases in other streams, including family reunification, refugees, or
humanitarian, but would be a net addition to existing flows.
