hello, I am a canadian citizen by birth, been living with my common law partner for almost a decade,in 2014 we applied for her visitor visa(which was refused),im 99% sure we mentionned that I was her common law partner at the time but If we forgot to write it on the form, what would be the consequences?

would I still be able to sponsor her p-r today?

Yes - you can sponsor her for PR. If you failed to mention her common law partner status in the TRV, this could cause the application to be examined more closely - but it shouldn't prevent approval of a PR application. Make sure you mention the TRV refusal when you apply to sponsor her for PR.

You can do an access to information request and ask for the files in regard to the TRV, it’s quicker than requests for PR files
