Good evening, silly question but I would like to clarify with you guys,

1) My first name is Kévin , written with the accent in my passeport. For some reason, every time I enter that "é" in a CIC doc (pdf format), and leave the document, the "é" reacts strangely, like if the accent was not recognized or it put that single letter in capitol. I might be overthinking but should I put with the accent or without? (Probably silliest question in the forum haha :P)

2) On the forms where they are asking about your background for the last 10 years for example, since the document is pre-formated, sometimes name of the company or activity is longer that the space allowed. When you fill out the application through Acrobat, a part is not showing since it is too long. Any best practice in that case? Do you guys put it on a proper annex page ? (Maybe that question was even sillier than the 1st one :D )

Thanks in advance, Kev :) :) :)

Can't really help you but you may be able to help me ;-) when validating the documents after filling them in I got the message saying it was successful but the barcodes wouldn't generate. The extra page comes up where they should be but they don't appear. I googled it and it said enable java script but that makes no difference. I'm going to try it on another computer. Parts of the CIC were down today so that may have something to do with it. Could you please let me know how it goes for you at that stage. Cheers

Hey Matt, morning, I am not specialist at all but at would encourage you to maybe re-download the package of forms or maybe work try on another version of Acrobat, on my mac I've seen several strange things since I'm dealing with these forms since the beginning I'm dealing with immigration. In the worst case, try on another computer as I've never faced that myself. Or maybe as your said the website was down, but I'm just not sure since these are documents not linked to the website itself.

Fill your name as the form allows. You can add the accent by hand if you want to be 100% accurate.
If any of the forms do not have enough space to fill your answers you should use additional page of paper to provide the additional information.

Awesome, thanks so much sashali78 :) that makes sense but I feel confident now :).

We did the same thing adding an extra page whenever needed. Just make sure the extra page has a header with your name, date of birth and UCI number if you have it. Also make sure to to label the question properly and include the page right after the page in the form that has that question (rather at the back).
