I would suggest order both CSIS report and CBSA notes. CBSA notes will only tell u that ur screening is in progress. CBSA notes don’t mention whether screening from CSIS is done or not
From what I've read, CSIS has nothing on the letter, so no point right?

Csis only mentions that r they still working on there file or concluded their involvement. This way u can know that your assessment is done from csis part

Hi, congratulations. Where you in military before.

What difference would it make to know if CSIS has completed the checks or not?

Because again, CBSA doesn't have a strict timeline overall.

They can still take months even if CSIS is completed.

I have no clue about these things. If u can highlight.

In my case I ordered 2 CSIS(Jul and Nov) letters, CSIS would have completed there assessment in Aug but when I received the last letter in Dec it still said my SS is ongoing...

Thanks, I will. Someone told me to try and get a lawyer to check it out. Do you think that would help or I should just wait?

It's all about the financial implications mate. If you can afford an attorney then I'd say go ahead and do it. I engaged one myself and it turned out to be extremely beneficial.

Which means admin department of CSIS is as garbage as that of CBSA:D

Hi guys,
Woke up today with the great news. it’s PPR!!

After a ghost update yesterday, today very early in the morning, the ready for visa email was there sitting in my mailbox.

I had all the reasons to think, and I firmly believed, that I’d fallen under SS. Actually I still don’t know whether we fell or not. My wife and I are police officers and although I'm not from the armed forces, my corporation carries the name “military” on it.

Never ordered CBSA nor CSIS notes. My 1st set of GCMS notes ordered in November, and received in December, showed redacted information about the status of security. Reason why I thought I was in SS.

Total time was 8 months and 10 days. Maybe it was just the delay/ backlog in the office.

Updated timeline in my signature!
