I attempted to post this to the July outland and the Ottawa thread but I didn't hear anything back, so I figured I'd attempt as a new thread.

I received my GMSC notes a few days ago.

This highlights are as follows:
SPR Eligibility: Passed

Assessments:
Eligibility: Not Started
Security: Not Started
Criminality: Not Started
Medical: Passed

Group#: 2-JGT6E1M

Under "Undertaking Length" it says 36 months. Does anyone know what this means?

One note states "PA admits to living in USA without status as a visitor from ********* to *********, did not appear to work". My husband is a US Citizen, and he resided in Canada without status. We wrote cover letters for our application, and in his, my husband explained what we had done and expressed his apologies and concerns for his staying in Canada. Do you guys think I should try to get this corrected?

Also, I appear to have been IP blocked at work, not exactly sure why though. Any ideas/suggestions?

I believe the undertaking length of 36months is number of years (3) that you as a sponsor will be financially responsible for your spouse once he gets his PR.

On the other issue, i certainly think you need to get this corrected. Send a case specific enquiry and highlight their mistake.

Illiasnie, did you request your GCMS notes via www.visafile.info? How long did it take?

So, let me get this straight. GCMS is for more detailed information of the processes for an individuals application for Permanent Residency?

More detailed than what?
GCMS is actually the _full_ dump of your immigration file (be it a permanent residence file, or a temporary visa file, including WPs and SPs). It's not the "more detailed", it's as detailed as ever possible, I would say. Including officer's notes in plain text that you won't find elsewhere.

Gotcha! Thanks. I looked at time frames to receive the data. I would probably have a DM before I get the information, so with that said I will hold back from buying one.

It only takes 30 days to receive GCMS notes once you order them. I would guess that since your application was only received at the end of July (essentially August), you'd absolutely get the notes before you get DM. Doesn't hurt to order them.

I've ordered mine twice since May when I sent in my application. I should be receiving the second set next week to see how far my application still is from DM. (Hoping for DM before the Holidays but not expecting it. There are those from February and March and Ottawa VO are still waiting for DM. Ottawa is taking an average of 8-9 months still.)

Undertaking = 36 months means you have agreed to be financially responsible for your husband for 3 years. This is normal.

I would send a letter to the visa office explaining the mistake.
