Trying to understand from GCMS, why does NDVO carries Criminality check before eligibility?

Criminality inprocess
security not started
eligibilty not started
Medical passed
RPRF paid
background check inprocess

APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT
Assigned to: Blank
Assigned by: Blank
Due Date: Blank

Funny part , they had updated Canada RCMP,fingerprint as No trace but Indian Police clearance missing?
Is this common.
Any feedback highly appreciated.

Criminality is a rather straightforward check the way I see it; If your PCC says you have not been involved in any sort of criminal activity, the criminality decision is set to PASS. Eligibility, on the other hand, requires calculation of your score. The case officer checks your reference letter, compares the roles to the roles listed under the NOC etc.

Hi Members,

I found below note in my GCMS Notes:
Sponsor Residency Declaration/Declaration de residence du repondant Canadian citizen living exclusively outside Canada.

As I am PR not the Canadian Citizen so I don't under stand why this note is there. Any one who can enlighten me about this please.

Thanks..

Hi again ,

I checked my noted and it's showing same as you ( Sponsor Residency Declaration/Declaration de residence du repondant Canadian citizen living exclusively outside Canada. ) however there is a No and the end of it , yours should have a No after that sentence .

They have to add that info to GCMS

Thank you

Thanks Rajkamal, does NDVO checks Criminality before eligibilty, which is rather strange. +1 for feedback.

These initial checks are done at CPC-O or CIO rather than NDVO. My criminality passed in 9 days after submission and my eligibility (A11.2 checks) were completed after around a month of submission.

Eligibility is to check whether you meet immigration requirments (education, language, experience)

Criminality - already explained, based on official traces or their absence, straightforward from PCC

Security - another stage, they check for participation in organized crime, terrorism, or other strong crimes/offenses, fraud, break of immigration/border-crossing rules of other countries, which may be not uncovered and tracked by official police.

Hello, hope everyone is well here.please am jay and I need some help with my Notes I received in December

It's shows on my note

Eligibility:Not started as at when I received my notes in December 2016 and now on my cic account,it's shows eligibility is in progress
Barground and security:Not started
My application was received at the Accra visa office on 1 June 2016 and was transferred on 12 August 2016 and processing started on 12 August 2016

My questions are,

1.When eligibility shows not started, does it means the lead officer in Canada did not find any concerns or problem with our application.

2.How long does it take to know the officer in the visa office is satisfied with the relationship before its forwarded back to the officer in Canada?

.

Hi, could anyone help to decipher the last sentence of this note (last note in the file, by VO officer):

"All documents requested in the file. RPRF paid - MEDS VU [date]. Please for ELIG / DEC."

Thanks

I suppose it is Eligibility Decision.

I suppose so also, what about the mysterious "please for"?
Is that "Pleased to provide recommendation for positive eligibility decision" or "Please transfer case to lead officer for eligibility decision"?

Hi,

Did anyone ever receive PPR before due date (listed on GCMS) ?

Thanks.

I would like to know this as well!

Based on my 1st set of notes, they didn't go by the assignment due date. My old due date was December 12th but we got an interview invitation letter on November 21st and Interview took place on December 15th. Due date of my latest notes was February 22nd, so I really hope someone reviewed it already but I haven't heard anything yet.

Does anyone know the general timeline - what happens after VO signs off on relationship verification and gets police certificates.
What happens next in the process? Does it get transferred to Mississauga for final eligibility decision and other approvals, or there are more steps involved?

Hello everyone,

I got my wife's GCMS notes in mid February (so they are from around mid January) and I noticed that all 4 assessments are passed, and in the case of security, it has 'S.15(1)' in the corner. The last note says at the end, "Pass the eligibility assessment. Decision entered. Valid and Clean police certificates(s) on file. File to Canada-based Officer to proceed with statutory assessment."

I thought that we would've gotten PPR by now, but still no word. ECAS still says 'Processing' on the PA side and MyCIC still has the BGC in progress.

Does anyone know what the the holdup may be? And what exactly is "statutory assessment"? I can't seem to find anything relevant by searching the forum.

Thanks.
