If you're inland you can do it yourself and pay $5... If you're outland then you can't do it yourself and you need to do it via a consulting service that costs around $30 (effective you pay $30 to someone who gets you notes for $5 and sends it back to you).

Look here - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

To send a request you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual or corporation currently in Canada.

So basically citizens and PR holders can request this at anytime from anywhere. But if you're not a citizen or PR then you must be currently in Canada to request.

Since you're a Canadian citizen you'll always pay $5 and you can order from within ou outside of Canada.

But most people on the forum who are not yet Canadian Citizens or PR either need to be in Canada to order or they must use a consulting service.

Is it true that GCMS notes application delayed your file for month?

No, not AFAIK.

GCMS notes should have no negative impact on the processing of your file.

Sorry.. I've no idea... I think if your file is in French then the GCMS notes will also be in French. And I don't think there is an option to issue them in English so I'm thinking no. But prefer to let someone else with more experience take a crack at this one.

UCI is not mandatory to order notes AFAIK. If you do not know the UCI, you can mention all zeroes and you provide the application number. They will be able to retrieve your notes using that.

RAS mean " rien à signaler" ....je pense
in which language have you asked for your GCMS ?
car tu peux, les recevoir en Anglais ...je pense !

Oh, thanks for that. So"rien à signaler" means nothing to report or nothing found? I hope so!
I did order them in English, everything is in English until the last two sections where its been Paris officers commenting and that part is in French. Any idea about the "transmis a AS pour dec REC"?

If you are Canadian Citizen, PR or currently in Canada then you pay $5 else you would have to take someone's help which means they will earn through you and hence add their margin

I'm the sponsor, I used my UCI but you have to type it first 4 numbers a hyphen and then the last 4 numbers. Then when they ask for file number, used the application number (the one starting with F). It worked fine.
