I mailed my application on February 23, they received it on February 25, I received AOR1 on March 24, SA April 5, AOR2 April 15.

SA took 40 days. 50 days from filed to AOR2.

And I think they are slow lol.

Buddy !! you are the fastest in this Forum , believe me your timeline is awesome .

Thank god Stephen harper is gone , AOR1 use to take over 70 days .

I know it was faster than some. But I also think that this entire process is ridiculous and that the entire process should take less than 4 months unless there is obvious issues with the criminality/security checks.

If you check the February Outland thread there is someone who already has DM. This is how it should be across the board for all VO's.

The Government says family reunification is a priority, well, then prove it. Adding a few more case workers and upping the planned intake is good and all, but I want to see real change in how these applications are processed. It's not rocket science to look at an application and know the couple is genuine. Even if it isn't, I think they should admit everyone who passes medical, security, and criminality and let the undertaking and condition 51 sort them out. I would rather see 0% of genuine couples denied than they maybe stop some non-genuine couples from getting the visa and making false determinations and having even a small percentage of real relationships forced to appeal.

Shouldn't be cause for an interview. In the notes the comments usually give an idea what the concerns are.

I agree 100% , If they can process a TRV in 3 days , they can do the same for a PR lets say in a Month or 2 .

They do check up on the sponsors eligibility to make sure that they are still eligible while applications are in process.

Is there nothing else in the notes?

If they increase the processing fees with a faster process that fine!(citizenship application now is faster), if concerned of fake wedding they should review conditions 51 and make tight with other conditions....... that loooong waiting time a genuine relationship will become loose :o :o :o

I would like to see 100% approval with passed Criminality/Medical/Security and if that worries CIC then extend condition 51 to a longer period of time or increase the undertaking length.
