Are they back to sending them out in 30 days? Last time I ordered (Dec 2015) they took over 60 days...

2016-05-27 : Meds in, File passed to officer for CRIM decision.
2016-05-27 : NCIC check NRT, RCMP record check NRT. PCs on file NRT x 2. Crim passed. All requirements met. Application approved.
2016-05-27 : PPT already in file. Meds in. E-mail sent requesting AWB.
2016-06-03 : All in, please FINDEC.

I ordered my notes because we received PPR on May 26 and still waiting for the return of the passport with visa inside.

File sent to Mississauga on March 26, 2015
Approved as sponsor on May 29, 2015
Interview on May 4, 2016 and visa was approved and they keep my husband's passport
Received email on May 16 to redo the medical
Medical done on May 19
Received email on May 26 to sent pictures, confirm address in DR and Canada and send prepaid envelop for the return of the passport
Documents sent on May 30
Reception in Mexico on June 1
On June 3, his address change to mine on e-case and status change to Decision Made.


August 9, we are still waiting... Everything is checked and approved. Do you know what could happen to wait as that long ?

I sent 3 email to Mexico since May 26 and they finally answered last month "We wish to inform you that additional checks are required for the folder. Our office will contact your husband directly if we need additional information" but no detail about what they have to check. I contacted MP's office and he tells me he can do nothing, I have to wait and if we didn't receive the passport on September 12, he will contact CIC.

I am sponsoring my wife and applied in April. Her visa office is Warsaw the status in myCIC is Eligibility Review In progress and Medicals passed.

I applied for GCMS notes. A few things:

1. The initial status of the application is Cancelled because
"due to PA UCI xxx incorrectly used. Recreated with UCI yyy for ABC. PO to review."
This is in Mississauga. Apparently they started the file with the wrong UCI and had to cancel that file and start a new one. Anyone else got something like this? I don't think this is something to worry about.

2. My wife has a medical condition but it is not serious. The notes say
"Has a condition for which the potential demand on health and social services is not enough to exclude admission under Section 38(1)(c)."
and
"Description: No surveillance required"

3. Under Sponsor eligibility decision
"Extra documents shredded - chat logs, bank account statements and email exchanges"

Is this a good sign when they shred extra documents? Is the proof of relationship found sufficient or will they still feel that we have not been able to prove our relationship is genuine?

Anyway, this is the first set of GCMS notes. Will order the next one in a couple of days.

there is also the s.15(1) in the right hand corner...does it mean that the security screening is finished? what else should i look for? really it is so confusing. but where it says that things like medical passed, criminality and eligibility passed ..there is still a blank by the security.

Also i am curious what the Value 0 means....for example missrepresentation: 0, employment history 0 , languages 0
and also it says application assignment due by 2016/08/30..not sure if that means when they should be finished with the application?

Hi,

Security is passed, 0 is what you want to see for misrepresentation etc, and the due date doesn't really mean much.

I expect you will get PPR soon.

Shredding documents is really a non issue. You simply submitted an excessive amount of email/chat logs and they just shredded some of it and kept what they feel is necessary and adequate. DO NOT worry about that - best of luck with your application.

We had the same thing on our last notes and its been 2 months we still didnt hear anything from the visa office...
