I applied CEC in March 2014, got AOR at the end of March.

Since then, there was no updates at all, so I applied GCMS notes in November, I got the notes in December.

the notes says " there is no adverse information, but the officer noticed that there was no work experience before the work I used to apply CEC, review is required"

is that a good news or bad news?

The Officer appears to be outside his boundaries - CEC requires 1 year's work experience in the past 3, that's it!!! Whether there was any experience before that is not his/hers concern.

Disagree - It is entirely appropriate for VOs to question the legitimacy of claimed work experience. In this case the OP is claiming to be a supervisor/manager, with no prior experience. It is not surprising this application was referred for review.

The "bad" thing is that it will obviously take longer to process. Hard to say what the review officer will conclude.

sorry jes_ON, did not see the person was a supervisor/manager and how old - you're correct, the VO needs to review in such cases for legitimacy.

I do have some work experience prior to the store Manager, but those jobs do NOT count as eligible jobs to apply CEC,

what does that mean "the VO is questioning the legitimacy"?

The job of CIC officers is to verify all the information you have given them are true. In this case, they are concerning whether you have actually worked as a store manager, or you have claimed work duties that you haven't actually performed.

Don't you have to claim all work experiences regardless whether they are eligible for CEC?

will that be a problem if i didnt claim all the jobs I have worked?

To clarify -

If you have SKILLED work experience in CANADA in the past 3 years, you put that on Schedule 8 (CEC form). That's what most people mean when they say "claim experience."

ALL work experience goes on the Background Declaration. Is all your prior restaurant work / supervisory work on your Background Declaration?

Thanks. "Declare all previous work experiences" is what I should have said.

NO... But that makes it harder for the VO to believe the work experience you claim for CEC. You should tell the whole story -- let them know the previous work experiences that led to the job for your CEC application, even though you don't claim the previous experiences in CEC. That way it's much more believable.

should I send an email with files attached to CIC to explain I do have previous work experience but I didnt put it on the application because those jobs are not eligible to apply CEC?

I have T4 forms from previous work, should send them to CIC?

Hi,
yes, send the scanned copies of your part time job T4 with an explanatory letter to CPC.

That doesn't explain why you didn't put them on your Background Declaration... (or did you?)
