Hello
I'm hoping someone has been in a similar situation or knows the answer here. I'm applying for PR through EE and I'm starting to look at getting documents in place for (hopefully) when I receive an ITA.
I foresee a potential issue in that my surname differs from my birth certificate. When I was young, my mother remarried and I was given my step-father's surname. Nothing was legally required in order to do this and no formal deed poll or similar was done. I just started using the new surname and have been known by this ever since.
So...I have no proof or evidence of change of name. Is this likely to be an issue?
Can anyone advise?
Thanks in advance!
