Hi

My cousin is also applying to the same university to which i am applying and also in the same semester.
Please tell me 2 things----

1) Will his application create a problem with my approval? We have the same last name.

2) My cousin failed in his twelfth too, but cleared it in the next year and currently holds a very good CGPA at his current college. Can this gap year of 3 years between tenth and twelfth create problem in his visa approval under any section?

Please guys give your opinions

Well bro please tell me what can i do to help my cousin? I really want us both to get the visa.
His current percentage at his college is 97% that is like almost 3.9 GPA out of 4
Please are you sure his gap year is a BIG matter of concern? can you please find out?

Hi,

With such a good academic record (I mean the recent one which he either completed or pursuing) his credentials holds good promise. There can be many reasons for a one year gap (not necessarily a academic one). And it's the recent academics that matters and as you are aware of the fact that Visa Officer Pay good attention to academic credentials. It's not just academics but his proposed study plan also matters a lot. It must be relevant to his prior education and work, if any. I mean in the end, its “over all profile” that matters !

Even I have also a gap of around 2 years when I joined the Army and later on left the same (and I mentioned this fact on my file)
