Hi everybody,

I will be completing my one year PGcert course in Aug 2019 next year, I am planning to apply for PR under the Federal Skilled worker program which will take approximately 9-10 months for processing i.e counting from Aug 2019 onwards, My question is:

1.How can i stay legally in Canada during that period, which is from completion of my course in Aug 2019 till IRCC provides me results on my PR?

2. Can I enroll in another Post Graduate program and continue as student in Canada, in this scenario my student permit will be expired, so how and where will I get a new student permit?

3. Is there any other visa or status that I can/should apply for during this 'gap' or 'waiting period'.

any help with the above questions will be highly appreciated.

Are you sure you will have enough points to receive ITA after finishing school?

1. You can apply for PGWP which if you went to an eligible school should give you 1 year work permit, talk to your international office.
2. Yes, you will extend your study permit using your new LoA, talk to international office on how to do this.
3. See 1.
