I just wanted to share some insights I discovered while I had a chat with a Federal Cabinet Minister,I dont think He would like to be identified without his consent,So I can only say he is a male from Greater Vancouver.Basically A lot of the policies and priorities will be subject to Ministerial Discretion and these may vary from year to year.The FSW will be gradually deprioritized and more emphasis will be given to the different PNP s since the Provinces are starting to flex their constitutional right to make their own immigration laws.It is taking way too long to process people under the FSW,so with the PNP s gradually phasing in,he hopes the wait times will be less,Priorities will be Skilled Workers and Family Reunification faster,While Refugees will be Slower.So hope this is of some use

I applied in the early year of 2007 to the High Commision in Singapore, now I am looking for a job in Canada. I am happy to hear that the SKW will be prior. Do you know any way out for spedding up my case?

Have a look at PNP of the different provinces for example in Saskatchewan,You dont even need a job offer for PNP as long as the job you do is in high demand

I had a look at PNP of Saskatchewan. They need job offer as well. It seems to be easier than other provinces.

I have thinking about Family Sponsor for Alberta because I have a sibling living there, but the problem is my wife's English is zero. I don't know what to do. Please give me some clues.

Your sibling sponsors you under the Family stream of Alberta,Then once you are PR,You sponsor your wife

Under the family Stream of Alberta PNP, if your sibling sponsors you, the application covers you and your immidiate family members, which includes your wife and kids. That means BCGuy missed the point when he suggested that you get your PR first before sponsoring your wife. You don't have to wait that long. Have your sibling in Alberta, if he/she meets the requirement, file for you and include the names of your wife and kids.

Your spouse's (and any other dependants') language skill is not an issue. They don't care about the spouse or dependent's language skills but yours. Only the principal applicant's language skills is an issue.

There is no canadian immigration class that cares about the spouse's language skills!

You will be the principal applicant and your sister/brother in alberta will be the sponsor while your wife and kid(s) are the spouse/dependent.

That is correct and Thanks for correcting me Olusolalekan,I get sloppy at times,The spouse language ability is not an issue,In BC We dont care about spouses language skills in our BC PNP,I presume AB is the same

You and your spouse or common-law partner have both obtained an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) minimum score of 4.0, or a minimum level of 3 (361-540) on the Test d'evaluation de français (TEF), OR

You and your spouse or common-law partner can demonstrate that English or French is your primary language of use (the language most commonly used in your household), OR

You and your spouse or common-law partner have completed a minimum of a baccalaureate in English or French

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE ABOVE INFORMATION?
