Hello guys,

I am a student in Canada currently but the CRS cutoff seems to keep getting higher and higher. I will finish my studies in the Summer of 2021 most likely. What do you expect it to be then?

Last CRS score cutoff 473

Logically, It is impossible to predict 2021 cutoff. So I suggest you to stop worrying about the future and concentrate on your studies at this point.

Somewhere between 1 and 1200... Anything more specific is utterly pointless guessing.

True that, working really hard in my classes. Just worried that after working so hard it may end up not working out. However, if I knew an 'estimate' then I could try and work towards that number.

If I were to work for a year and then apply it would be around 490 but looking at the trends, Im worried even that might not be enough

You'll be fine with a score of 490. Make sure you aren't including the 50 points for having a job offer in your calculation.

Yep, it's without but it will actually be the Summer of 2022 by that point, i forgot. Thanks for your input

None of us can tell you that. The program structure changes from time to time - sometimes significantly. Whether Express Entry will still be here in 2022 or if it will be replaced by something else is something no one can predict.

I understand...maybe a foolish question to ask in hindsight and so early on. Was just trying to gauge what people think would happen in the future based on the past.

Hi Scylla,

I will be planning to apply PR after 1 year of Canadian experience. Total CRS that I calculate with my maximum efforts seems would be 500+. As per current trends what you think, would it be safe then. However, nothing can be predicted.

500 is a high score. Are you certain you have calculated it correctly?

Yes - a score of 500 should be safe.
