Excluding tuition fees how much do you need in your account to be granted a study visa?

Looking at a 2 or 3 year IT course Toronto area. Also does it need to be at degree level or is an advanced diploma just as acceptable by CIC?

Thanks

$10K for 1st years living expense, plus $4K per dependent.

PMM

thats minimum, usually u would need more than that + u would have to show reasonable money to prove ties with homeland.
