what amount of funds should I mention in the column "funds" of economic class form.
should the amount be that I should carry for a family of five (about 23000cad $) or the total value of the assets I have.
I have mentioned in the letter sent to Nova Scotia that I have Cad$ 600000 which is actually the value of the property I own / will inherit.probably the mistake I have done. though I had clearly mentioned that it is the value of the property I own/will inherit.
seeking urgent advice please as i have to submit the completed application during the coming week.

Dear

You need to show them liquid funds, like Bank Statement, Bank FDs, PF statement and they do not need any immovable asset funds for doing their working. In case, you got this opportunity, sell your property and arrange required cash funds to CHC. Otherwise, your case once rejected by Visa Officer, would not be revived again.

at9459 ----> Try to look at 3 basic rules

One ---> Know what is the minimum expected by CHC for the family size of yours.
Second ---> It is always better to show more (if you have); than showing less or just required
Third ----> Show funds that are in liquid (/readily transferrable) form (as rightly said by sunandan kumar). Now, remember each CHC treats this in different way. Liquid funds (in savings/current bank accounts) are well accepted by almost all the local visa offices. However, some CHCs accept assets (I guess London), some accepts Fixed deposits (ND is one), some may not.

I think it is possible for you to change this figure while at second stage (applying for local CHC office). However ensure that the amount you show during second stage is what you should be able show to CHC when they ask --- atleast available in your account/with you for 3 months...
