I am helping my bro-in-law do his application. We got to the part about funds available for my stay and expenses.

He has a GIC for $10,100 and already paid $11,400 for tuition.

His tuition for one year is $18,642 and he will be living with me and my wife and we intend to pay for everything. In my accounts of available money we have over $150,000.

what should we put for these fields

Tuition - $18,642
Room and Board - Blank
Other - Blank

Funds available for my stay - $160,000 (my funds plus his GIC??)
My expenses will be paid by - Other
Other - Brother-in-law

Can someone please comment?

For room and board , you can look for average monthly cost of rent in the city where he will be schooling and multiply by 12 months . you also have to estimate the cost of food /clothing/phone charge etc for 12 months and add it . Note : it does not matter he will stay in your house
For other , you can add about $5000( this is what I used during my visa application) .

Exactly, funds available to stay should be total funding available, thus your fund plus his GIC .
