Hello. I am starting a new job in 2 weeks. I am a resident of Alberta and the office I am reporting to is in Vancouver, B.C.

I am filling in my onboarding forms including the payroll forms TD1 federal and TD1 BC - however I believe I should be filling in the Alberta form, not the BC one.

BC and Alberta have different tax rates. Am I correct?

I have been in Alberta for ten years and have worked for companies based in Ontario before and I have always filled in Alberta forms.

Thanks,
Andrew

Assume you probably got the standard HR file. Would contact HR and indicate that you live in Alberta
