Hello,

My brother, who is 26 years old, works as an Electrical Engineer here in Albania. How can he find a full-time job in Ontario in order to get a Work Permit Visa? Is it difficult finding one? Thank you

Hey there! I am no expert when it comes to work permits, but you should definitely check out CIC's website. It has the information about the different ways of working/immigrating in Canada. It is not as simple as applying for a job in Canada. It's a long process with several steps. Here are the links for CIC. Good luck :)

Yes - it tends to be very difficult. The employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA in addition to giving him a job offer. The LMIA process is long and expensive and requires the employer to prove no Canadians could be found for the role.

Having said that, your brother can certainly give it a try. Some people are lucky. If he is able to find an employer who can provide the full time job offer and also obtain an approved LMIA, he can then apply for a closed work permit tied to that specific employer.

He should use reputable job sites to look for a job like linkedin, indeed, workopolis, etc.

Good luck.
