I would like to immigrate to Canada. At the moment just stuck with a couple of questions;

When talking about 1 or 2 years of full time employment, about how many hours (a year) are we talking? And when I did not work along a full time contract but had a hourly contract (but worked easily over 40hours a week) will those hours still count? Or does it needs to be a specific full or part time contract?

I studied 4 years of Hotel Management, will my jobs a waitress 'chef de rang' count? Or only my jobs as a bar manager? Or none of them?

I hope someone has answers for me, they might be super obvious and I'm just reading over it, but I would really appreciate your help. Thnx.

1. At least 1 year of continuous (without any breaks) paid full time (or equivalent past time) work experience in NOC 0/A/B within the last 10 years is required as minimum FSW eligibility.

2. Full time work experience is 1560 hours in a year AND 52 weeks of at least 30 hours/week. You must meet BOTH of these prerequisites.

3. Any work experience that was less than 30 hours/week can be prorated into equivalent full time work experience. For instance, you'll get 40% credit for working 12 hours/week, 80% credit for working 24 hours/week and so on.

4. Your claim of this experience will be sufficient while creating the EE profile. But if you get invited to apply (ITA), you'll be required to produce valid work reference letters from your employer(s) to back up those claims. In some cases, reference letters alone might not be sufficient and you may be asked for other documentation as well. These may include pay stubs, tax assessment forms, performance appraisal documents and such.

5. Paid work experience acquired simultaneously with your studies (outside of Canada) can be counted towards this requirement. Has to be NOC 0/A/B and within the last 10 years.

All the best!
