Good News after one year... my file is transferred from Buffalo to New York office. I have no idea what does this mean...It says Visa officer will review the file and if interview is required, i will be contacted. Does this mean that initial evaluation is complete and they are looking at the interview factor only... or I am still at the basic evaluation stage and could be denied... Please give your thoughts... Thanks and good luck to everyone.

congratulation ...atleast you find some movement in your file .. i'm waiting for mine, too
it could be denied. but chances are really rare. your documentation is good , got enough points..then just wait for MR.

After a long time of in processs i just received a email from buffalo stating that my file has been transferred to los angales office.

Hi Samia,

They will make update on coming Tuesday, I also see the same trend in my case.. first they change the outside status, then they change wording inside the immediate next Tuesday..

So dont worry.

I was hibernating for quite awhile coz I started to get stressed and frustrated from the Buffalo performance these past few months until...
this morning I received an email that they transferred my file to New York office to expedite the processing ;D ;D ;D

I am so happy and hopefully this will open the door of hope for all of us who's been waiting forever to get it done.

God bless us all and may we have the best x-mas gift ever.... our PR!! :-*

Congrates Anne55, NY is quite faster .. lot of us started getting MR after transfer to NY. so its definitely a good movement.

A lot of good news here! Congrats to all! Hope the rest goes even faster!

From what I see (your status and info), they are transferring the files with initial applications in December 2009 - January 2010. Hopefully, they will start working on Feb. 2010 and later applications soon.
