Please guys and gals
I have seen you all writing a lot about 2nd AOR. Either someone has received it or someone is waiting for it.
Could someone plz explain what actually you mean by this 2nd AOR?
As to my mind this is just an intimation by the relevant visa office on receiving your full documents and the real thing starts after this (i mean going through the back ground checks and determining ones points etc).
I have applied in the same category as you i.e. FSW 1 and 3 weeks after sending my documents to london CHC i have received a letter from them stating they have received my documentsy and these are pending review and in my category normal time of processing is 12 months and if i dont hear from them in 8 months then ishould contact them.

I think this is pretty much what everyone of you got isn't it or yours is different?
If this is the case then there is no point in asking again and again when we shall receive medicals etc isn't it?
I am not passamistic and dont wanna ruin your responses of joy am just curious but if the timeline has been mentioned in the letter then why to be stressed for something that has to happen yet.
May be someone can shed some lightRegards

It is the same - you received your 2nd AOR. Congrats!!!

You are absolutely right. The timeline is given and there is really no reason to be stressed. :)

However, for most members of this forum, sharing timelines serves as a benchmark on how long within the waiting period we could expect the next communication. Especially during the past months when the embassies took more than the number of days/months they promised, there are those who "wonder/ worry" if theirs is an "isolated case" or "whether there is something wrong with their application process."

By sharing your own timeline and knowing the movements in the other applicants' who submitted their documents before/after you -- helps a lot because you'll know that your application is not neglected.

For example, the 2nd AOR given by Manila mentioned only 45days but it took them more or less 90 days to communicate. Without knowing the reason for the delay, an applicant may worry that something is going wrong.

Currently, the 2nd AOR by Manila mentioned 90days waiting period but they are moving faster now. It's now taking them more or less 60days. Meaning, the medical request may be received one month earlier.

In my case, knowing others' timelines is not really a source of stress but a stress reliever. ;) It feels good knowing that you are not alone in "your Canada dream".

I hope this helps.
