I think all our group got 2nd AOR and wish all of our applications goes smoothly.

i am new to this forum
its really a happening place
i sent my documents to visa office nearly a month back
still i have not recieved any AOR either by mail or e mail
my status on e cas shows that documents have been recieved by visa office
kindly help

Welcome Gavis. Even am pretty new to this forum.
I and few folks got same e-status today stating "received by visa office". So we have to wait to get change "IN Process" and wait for review.

Please share you're time lines.

A few questions came up in the last few threads. Here is my attempt at the answers:
1) What is RPRF?

Right of Permanent Residents Fee (RPRF). This is different from the initial application processing fee paid to CIO Sydney. The RPRF may be paid either at the time of the submission of the full application or at any other stage before the issue of visa. It is only for applicants above 18. I have paid it with my full documentation. The visa office typically requests for it at the time of or after the approval of medical.

2) What is 2nd AOR - How does this relate to the change in e-case status to 'Received by Visa Office'?

2nd AOR is the Acknowledgement of Receipt of the full documents by the Visa Office. The New Delhi visa office sends a hardcopy letter (postal regular mail) which mentions a new file number, typical processing time at the visa office (which is 8 months), and a few bar code labels that quote the new file number. The bar code labels are to be affixed on any communication (document) that we do henceforth with the local visa office concerning our immigration file number. The status of e-case reflects exactly this. 'Received by Visa Office'. Typically, the 2nd AOR comes within 12-15 days of receipt of documents. The e-case status just about changes a few days around the same time. The 2nd AOR from New Delhi does not come in e-mail.

3) What happens next?

Well, if we are found to be eligible, the Visa office starts to process our application. That's when the e-case status changes to 'In Process' and it stays the same until the end of the Medicals. During this time, we may receive requests from the Delhi office for additional documents and a request for Medicals. Typically, the applicants of April/May/June haven't hit the 'In process' status is anything less than 3 months.

Please organize the full documents in the order in which the New Delhi checklists lists them. It is good to create an index if you have multiple job contracts, appointment letters, or educational documents. The bottomline is that you'd like to make it easy for the visa officer to access the document and view it. Avoid staples if you can and use paper clips instead. Whereever it is best to staple documents together, do that - but don't overdo it! Notarized documents of any date is fine as long as they are notarized by the required personnel.

hello !! hi I m preparing my documents for september application to chc ....I wud greatly appreciate ur kind help in clarifying few doubts ...I m waiting for d fbi clearance rite now ....and d agency handling my papers wants to proceed wid d application widout d fbi clearance ..is it ok if i go ahead wid it ..coz my appilcation wud be in d initial stage ....plzz help me as i m veyr confused wid it rite now ....also another question i have is.... is it mandatory to have a fed ex accounnt for d return mail ?? plzzz help ...thanking u in anticipation ....

Hello Gavis,

If you have submitted all your documents to CHC New Delhi in last week of July, you should be getting an AOR soon.
If the e-case status is 'received by visa office', the AOR should be on its way. Since it is a postal mail sent by regular post, sometimes there may be delays etc. I would suggest that you hold on for a few more days. If you don't get any AOR or change in e-case status, perhaps you can send an enquiry to the Delhi office requesting for an AOR.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of how the FBI clearance works especially for applications to be submitted post 26 June.
I would suggest you post a new thread where other members in the forum can answer you.

i am M.sc physics and B.ed
what can i do while still i am in india so that i get into some decent job as soon as possible i know it is not possible very early but still earlier the better
