Dear Casayed,

Personally, I don't think London visa office requires the original birth certificate, only notarized and translated copy if not in English.

It's very risky to send them such a very difficult replacable original document. I agree with Pippin that to revisit the London visa office checklist to know exactly the required documents.
yes I was also surprised when an applicant sent original birth certificate,bt he published the london vo checklist where he proved london vo asks for orginal birth certificate for pakistani applicant!!as he showed the vo checklist in this forum so it may b correct

I have a question..

Now CIO is giving priority to post june 2010 applicants and the approximate time frame is 6-12 minths...

They said one year to 2009-2010 applicants. But now it has changed to 2-3 years.

My question is when start processing the post june 2011 applications, would they give priority for the new appliants which obviously result delays in post june 2010 applicants.. what do you all thinks...

nobody knows what are doing cic..???

1. How do we check the E-CASE? Currently I am checking the status of my application by using "Client ID Number" which I received in my PER mail. Is there any other wat to check the online status?

2. I received PER on 3rd May'11 my status still shows "Reviewed by CIO.....", what are the timelines these days of RBVO and the rest of the process these days?

u can use ur receipt no or file no strated with e or b it depends on vo as buffalo and london vo status is changing into RBVO quickly than others it takes 20-40 days

for me it only works with the "Client ID number" the other number I have, under which category shall I view the status of my application which starts with "E" ?

Dear Casayed,

It is mentioned on London VO checklist clearly that applicants from Pakistan should submit their original Birth and Marriage Certificates. So I submitted original birth Certificates for me and my wife except my Baby as she is born in Saudi Arabia. and here all official docs are in Arabic, so I translated its copy into English and sent to Pak for Notary Public and then our marriage also took place in KSA, our marriage certificate was also in Arabic, again I translated it in English and sent Pak for Notary Public. But I do have all photocopies. If I needed the original Birth Certs. in future than I'll apply for duplicate. I was concerned about the marriage certificate as I sent translated copy but my wife later noticed that they need original in registary seal but Alhamdulillah we got married here and not in Pakistan so that didnt matter. My friend nothing to worry or scared about every thing is mentioned clearly on VO Checklist. and by the Grace of Almighty Allah my elder brother is on his way to Canada today. He is in London for 2 hrs stay and Inshallah will be landing shortly in Canada at 2 am morning 31st May, 2011. Pls Pray for his smooth landing. Aameen.

Regards.

Hello everyone, again!!

I am really scared and nervous now because the last time I heard from them was on April 5th, 2011 and they said they were going to send me a letter since the elegibility review process at CIO Sydney was complete. I know that "letter" is just an email which i never got and I was just waiting for my ecas to change to RBVO and so far, haven't changed to that.

I wrote to them and no response so far. Any thoughts? You guys think is a bad sign? Hope everything is going good!!

Thank you guys, for all your help.

I have received my PER Yesterday May 30th... God is so good.. :)
