How do one send the documents to CHC, New Delhi? through registered post? I understand the passport would have to go through VFS? Please advise; thank you.
you may send through VFS or courier directly to the high commission at delhi. (fedex/bluedart) i personally prefer VFS.

Excellent; thank you very much Sandy and Sunny. I am planning to send all the docs & PP through VFS on my 35th day(35th day - since I received my medical & PP request - the delay is due to various reasons). I guess the docs and PP should be reaching(through VFS - I am sending it from Hyderabad) New Delhi within the next 10 days (7 days are working days in that 10 days) to New Delhi. There by all docs are with NDVO by 45 days. I trust my guess is correct. Please advise me here; thanks again for your timely response.

Thanks and Regards,
jerry

If you go through with VFS then you can submit your all documents and passports all together , they also go through with your documents in front of you to make sure everything is in place.
Once you submit all your documents they give you a receipt and you can use the receipt number on the VFS website to track your application.

This below Q I posted in another thread, now bringing it to your attention. Thanks in advance.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a question here, when sending the updated forms, we should send only the NOTARY signed photocopies of certificates that are part of the UPDATED INFO and not the ones which still hold good/NOT CHANGED. For example, I submitted my IELTS and marriage/education certificates previously and there are no changes to it and hence I do not have to again submit the NOTARY signed photocopies of Marriage/education certificates. Whereas I changed my employer for which I need to send the NOTARY signed photocopies of my appointment letter, etc.,. Is my understanding correct? Please let know. Thank you

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Jerry,

It's always good to submit any new documents that you didn't submit earlier notarised, though I also submitted copies of my promotion letters to the NDVO but I didn't notarised it as I am in UK and I believe NDVO has already allotted us the points by now but as you are in India it's always good to submit notarised copies .

Hi sandy

i called up at VFS and they told me to submit passport at VFS i need to pay Rs 400/- for each passport. I live in New Delhi and we are 3 memebers. but here at forum most of the applicants suggested to send it by blue dart courier to CHC which will cost me lesser.

I am confused, Please suggest which is the better option.

Yes they do charge Rs 400/- which comes to Rs 1200/- for you + going to Nehru Place standing in the queue vs sending through Blue Dart who will pick up from your location and would probably cost total Rs 400/-
I thought so also but looking into the entire efforts of three+ years and tons of money spent so far, I thought to not take a chance in the final steps, so I went to VFS and submitted there, you have an advantage of getting the tracking no and SMS alerts when the PP reaches the High Commission (usually the same day you submit them) + you would be alerted by SMS or web tracking when the PP is received back at the VFS. (Do not opt for return by VFS through courier) I have opted for self pickup from VFS.
If you Reach the place (walking distance from Nehru Place Metro station with ample parking) in the morning by 8 A.M. you can get the job done in 20 minutes.

Hope the info helps.

I agree with Sunny , money factor is there but you have peace of mind that you submitted your documents by hand also you will get an alert on your phone for every step like once your passports received by VO , you will get an alert also once its ready for pick up you will get an alert.

Thank you.
I understand that the 'Right of Permanent Residence Fee' (albeit you pay from India) should be paid by a DD drawn in favor of 'Receiver General for Canada'. Payable at New Delhi? I am not sure.

Alternatively, I understand, one can pay online. Trust that the online payment is the fastest. What is your advise on this? thank you.

Update> Paid RPRF fee online and received the ACK with the bar-code; seems to be the easiest and fastest way compared to the DD.
