i didn't notice visa officer's name, the letter indicates the file number starting with B at the upper left side then the letter states that "this is to advise you blah blah blah then 2nd paragraph The next step 3rd Interviews 4th Dependants 5th Changes in personal info

did we receive the same letter from the immigration?

:)

Jeckay,

Thanks for your reply. My letter is much simplier than yours. It just includes the file number and the first paragraph as you mentioned above. It is probably because that it is only a copy of my 2nd AoR. Also, the strange thing is that there are two numbers at the beginning of the letter. The first number is same as the reference number from CIO, starting with B, and the second number is different, starting with b. I haven't made it clear yet that which one is my file number from Buffalo.

Besides, if possible, could you post the rest pragragh of your letter before you delete the private information in it? Thanks.

Welcome the two new members, skFSW and adamishere, to join us.

I saw your timeline was almost same. You two have waited for MR for 16 months. Do you guys get any information from Buffalo about the progress of your applications and why you haven't got your MR by now.

In accordance with the processing time posted on CIC website, the total processing time is about 21 months at Buffalo now as I remember. It seems that your time have been approaching to the posted time. They seem to be supposed to give you some explanation.

Can you add me in the list, I don't see myself in the spreadsheet.

Its true that we are close to 21 months. 1 month before when i sent email to them they said your file is IN Process but this month I got my CAIPS and I was shocked that they have not assessed my file yet. All points are still 0 except age and there in no BFD. I think I did a big mistake to apply in FSW where rule change every year. If I have been applied in CEC i would have got medical this time.

You are right. I have applied through immigration Lawyer in Toronto. She sent CAIPS notes request 3 weeks ago and did not receive it so far.She also said that MR should be received any time in September or October 2011. If not, we will see what the CAIPS notes says and then start some steps to woke up the file.

For skFSW:

You are right. We should have waited till we qualify for CEC and then apply. I spoke with my lawyer about withdrew the FSW file and submit another CEC file but she did not recommend it, make sense.

BTW, my address disappered a week ago. I knew it doesn't reflect anything but I am hoping that they working now on my file.

Take it easy.

I called the 800 number of CIC, they told me that we can apply under as many categories as we want, all the cases are independent. So I don't see any reason why you shouldn't try CEC. Did your lawyer explain why she didn't recommend it?

hi adamishere,

even my lawyer also did not recommend to withdraw it bcz i already spent 16 month waiting in this and the total processing time today will be 21 to 24 months(FSW) and CEC is now 15-18 months. I don't want to go through all process and start waiting fresh. now no patience left so I stopped thinking on it. Hope we can get in this only.

Per my conversation with CIC, you don't have to withdraw the old application to start a new one. I mean two applications can happen concurrently.
Besides, it is unclear how they count the 21 months. Does it start from the time when application is submitted to Buffalo? Or after the 2nd AOR is received?

its true we don't need to withdraw both will be parallel. They will issue visa in one and digest the money of second application. As of my understanding there waiting time is from the moment they issue second AOR. Bcz issuing AOR means that our documents are complete and if they found incomplete they will send back.

this is all my assumption.

Thanks, skFSW. I am with you on the timeline. And that is exactly why I am thinking of applying under CEC again, because it's been almost 10 months, and I still haven't got my 2nd AOR. You see, 16 months have already passed by since I submitted my application for pre-assessment, and yet, my "21 months" hasn't started. Isn't that a little sad! .

Actually if you read the timelines or ask cic they say that the time line is not current is the average time it took in the last year

In your case you should apply in CEC as you have not received AOR yet and moreover this FSW3 is the most dangerous category. As my understanding once we are out from this country they won't issue visa for us. But in CEC once you get your AOR you are going to get the visa definitely.

In my case i willing to do but i loose my patience and the excitement to get the PR is not that much now. When I came her i was so excited to get PR and exactly when i finished my 1 year I filed my application. But now that excitement is over. So I already prepared my mind to go back home once I finished my assignment.now after completing my 3 years i start missing my friends relatives, family. only if we look at the money then living here is fine but at the cost of all pleasure we have in back. moreover we have good job back home.

She did not recommeded applying for CEC now as we already waited over 18 months and we do not think it will take a nother 12 month to get the passport stamped. The processing time for CEC is 12 months and it takes actually taking more than what they say, around 16 month.

skFSW, thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings... life is hard, sigh.
