Got my medical request March 7 and this was by regular mail. Before this, I had my CAIPS notes and it said the PPS date was February 1, 2012. I waited a month until i sent a case-specific inquiry and the day after I sent the inquiry, NYVO told me they sent me instructions. So if you've been waiting awhile, I suggest to send a case-specific inquiry.

I did the medical request March 14, sent in receipts March 15 overnight.

Got the Passport request by regular mail last Thursday.

I did my medicals on Apr 30 and the dmp sent them out on apr 5 so its not a long wait yet
Why did you sent the receipts? Am I supposed to?
Thanks

The medical request says to send receipts proving you already did your medical exam. I also had to send my RPRF, so I figured it didn't hurt to send it all.

I can't find that information in my request, did yours said that? does it says if its the original? did you sent it to the Buffalo address or Ottawa?
Thanks

There's a portion on my medical request that says:

"You will find medical instructions enclosed. Proceed immediately with the medical examination & ensure that the Designated Medical Practitioner (DMP) you have chosen is in the DMP list. Please submit legible copies of the receipt from the DMP office to us as soon as possible as evidence that you have complied with the medical exam requirement. The receipt from the DMP should clearly indicate the DMP's complete name."

This is from the New York Visa Office, as my file was transferred there last November.

Congrats emjay!!!! Little more waiting and your time will come! Just some question, you said you sent a case-specific inquiry, may I know what's the general question you asked? Also, when did you learn or know hat your file was transferred from different V.O? As for my case i also requested for caips and said PPS on 31-03-2012? Thanks in advance for you response!

Here's the exact inquiry:
The BFD date on the CAIPS notes I've ordered was February 1, 2012. However, I have yet to receive any correspondence from the New York Visa Office, which my e-Cas mentions my file was transferred to. Is there any update with my application and will the process go any quicker, considering both my wife and child are Canadian citizens and I am the sole supporter for them here?

They sent me a response with:
Dear Sir:

This refers to your application for Permanent resident visa, be advised that instructions were mailed to you.

Thank you,

To which I responded with:
Thank you for a very prompt reply on my inquiry.

Could you please advise of the instructions that were mailed to me and when it was sent? As of March 1, it will have been 1 month since the BFD on my file and I have not received anything in the mail as of yet. My address on eCas is correct, but I fear whatever may have been sent might be lost in the mail, forgotten or not even sent.

If there are important time-sensitive instructions, I would like to act on them as soon as possible.

And then they responded with:
Dear Sir:

Be advised that instructions were mailed to you on 1 March 2012 by regular mail.

A funnything to note is their first response to me was February 29, a day before they said instructions were sent. You can come to whatever conclusion you want from that.

I found out my file was transferred from my eCas status. It said it was transferred mid November 2011, but I got no other notice from then prior to this, other than my medical request.

Hi All,

Our case got transferred to LA from buffalo but case status on CIC website still shows RBVO

This is the msg we received from our lawyer yesterday

"The Canadian Consulate General in Los Angeles will complete the analysis of your application and determine if a personal interview with a visa officer is required. Your file number remains the same."

@katydid, Can you please update my case status in spreadsheet

my timeline is:
i sent my intial docs in june 2010 and received my first AOR november 2010
rsent full doc in november 2010 and received second AOR in july 2011..
now my ecas status changed to InProcess with inside details same as in RBVO.

what next can i expect???

Hi Nitma, my ecas status changed to 'in process' as well some time last week. It may mean something or just nothing because the ecase status is not updated accuratly.

I don't think we need to spend seven months in waiting for medical request. Tracking your 1AOR time, I suppose we are now in the first position of the waiting list. If Buffalo would process any new cases, that will be our cases. Be patient and look forward to the mail from Buffalo telling us that our applications have been transfered to a visa office. Good luck.

Congratulation, emjay025. It seems the process is pretty fast after the med.

I found a new ecas msg today fowlling the status changed to 'In Process' last week.

We received your application for permanent residence on May 21, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on November 1, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the Buffalo office. They are pending review.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on April 10, 2012.

Acctually, I sent some case inquiries to Buffalo last month and I wish this is just a coincidence.
