My second (Buffalo) AOr date is 24 September 2010. I guess they are going by their CIO AORs.
Best wishes to all..

Hi there,

As reading from the recent posts in our forum, it seems the Buffalo starts transferring many applicantions to other US visa offices, like NY, Los, Detrio, etc in Spet. 2011. My understanding is that the "2nd AOR receiving time" is a key component, since most of the transferred applications got 2nd AOR in Apr. and May 2010, no matter when they submitted the applications.

A good news is some applicants got med. request just two weeks after the transferring. It's pretty fast!

Seems Buffalo is working hard to reduce the backlog and rebuild the reputation. It used to be the fastest VO in the world.

Best wishes for us all.

Much appreciate for sharing the information. As per your timeline, Buffalo is processing the applications with CIO's AOR @ about Feb. 10'. Am I right?

What I notice from many threads is that Buffalo is transferring files with CIO AORs from December 2009 to March 2010 at this stage.

According to your words we still have a long wait. Most of us in this thread got the 2nd AoR at the end of 2010.

Please don't believe my words. Wishing the best to every one waiting for the next steps!!! And, I am talking about the first AOR (CIO, NS), not the second (Buffalo).
Cheers..

Hi vermas, you got your 2nd aor in Sep, 2010 and you got transferred already. Why do you think they are transferring the files whose 2nd aor were from December 2009 to March 2010?

My statement is that Buffalo has been transferring files of those applicants who received their first AOR from CIO, Sydney, NS during the period December 2009 - March 2010, perhaps to reduce the backlog and expedite MI-1 cases which were not moving. The satelite missions may not be as busy as Buffalo and they may still have some room left in their annual visa quota. No further movement is visible at NY VO but Detroit VO has started sending MRs within 2-3 weeks of transfer of files from Buffalo.

Immigration quota for Federal skilled worker visa in 2011 is 55,900 (http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/story/2011/02/15/pol-visas-skilled-workers.html). Annual quota under MI-2 (June 2010 - June2011) was 20,000 and under MI-1 (July 2011 to June 2012) is 10,000. That indicates there is room for MI-1s now.

Cheers..

Thank you for explanation and sharing, vermas.

I hope you are right, I really hope. I got my 1st aor in March, 2010, but I mailed my document at the last minute of the 4-month limit time, so I got my 2nd aor very late (in Nov. 2010). Till now, I've heard nothing from Buffalo. I really wish there could be some good news to me.

:(

Buffalo's published processing timeline is 21 months (from the date they receive complete documents) and they have tranferred my file to NY after 19 months. Perhaps, they are trying their best to maintain these processing timelines. This is my guess only.....
Good luck..

Hello Folks,

I recently got my application transferred from Buffalo Visa Office to New York City. Hopefully, this will expedite the process. If anyone of you whose applications were also transferred to New York City, please share your timeline.

Thanks in advance.

My file is transferred to Detroit visa office today. Hope this will expedite the case and will get something soon.

Good news for you guys!

Could you two share your timelines? When did your status transform to In Process?

My time-lines are as follows:

Visa Office : Buffalo
Initial Application : 01/15/2010
1st AOR: 03/15/2010
2nd AOR: 09/15/2010 (RBVO)

File Transferred to NY office: 10/26/2011

Waiting for Medicals and further....

Hopefully we'll get a positive news and best of luck to everyone out there in the same boat.

Kare,

Janaki got the 2nd AoR in March, 2011 whereas you got it in September, 2010. You guys both got 1st AoR in March, 2010. Now you guys' files have been both transfer to other consulate office. It looks as if Vermas said right.
