Hi everyone

Hope someone can shed light on this matter:

Will there be any complications if I return Hong Kong (where I’m originally from) for employment right after I submit the citizenship application (given that the three-year residency is fully completed)?

Is it okay to declare myself as “non resident” with the Canadian government while citizenship application is in process?

Plannnjng to fly back to Canada only for citizenship test and oath taking after receiving notification.

Many thanks for the input :)

Well, you can, there's nothing against it and many have done that before.
Just make sure someone is there to check your snail mail for you, in case there is a request for a finger print, or, down the line, an RQ.
Be ready to fly back on notice for those as well if they happen. Apart from that, you're good to go and all what matters are the days prior to you sending your application.
Good luck!
