All Applicant waiting for PPR2 after 3rd Line update, their files are under background check.

I sent an email to my VO after a month of my medical, i got reply that "Background checks are still ongoing on your file and nothing is required of you at this time. We will be in touch with any updates or requests." So TLU doesn't mean that your background check is completed. So hang on everyone, hope we all will get good news soon.

Pending security checks also falls under the background checks only.............so no surprise they are still using this terminology!!!

Mostly the above should be for financial checks. If i am not wrong from what i heard sometime back they check finances at two stages. One after the application and before medicals and other before the DM/PPR for stamping of visa. So its important people keep their money in the account or at least knowing when to fund.

Dear phoenix07, it is completely incorrect. No one can check your bank account, and bank will not disclose any information to anyone. It is only done if the local police shows a case / FIR copy to bank officials. After TLU, it's only security checks, not even employment verification, coz once they are satisfied with all these, they send MR. So, no point of checking all these things again.

I have provided two FD's from two different banks and both told me the same thing, that they won't disclose the information to anyone unless it's a police case. Axis and ICICI.

you can contact your respective bank to know about it. However, the main factor what I was highlighting in my messag was that, after TLU, it's only security/background check and nothing financial.

WVO took only 2 working days for visa stamping.

Sorry but that is a total misconception you have. Visa office can get information from the bank and verify the financial documents you have provided. Don't take the banks "We won't reveal your information" theory seriously. You can watch a video on youtube about how a guy forged his bank statement and misrepresented it to British High Commision in India. The statement was verified by the VO over phone and the guy got arrested then & there.

Is there background checks after one gets "Decison Made" status too??

Though I am not sure about the process , but as far as process is concern regarding finances, for they may ask for POF while sending MR mail


I found some people who got MR mail , in the mail they have been asked to show POF again, I think best answer is checking security and criminality , which also comes under background check post MR

AOR from WVO: 2nd Feb 2015
Processing started: 16th April 2015
Second line update: 18th April 2015
Medical Request/RPRF date: 8th May 2015
PCC: submitted with application
Medical Underwent date: 14th May 2015 at Sadhu Vaswani, New Delhi
Medicals were uploaded by hospital on 18th May 2015
Documents received date at WVO by DHL: 19th May 2015
Third Line Update: 21st May 2015
Decision made: 26th May 2015
PPR: 26th May 2015
Passport submitted at VFS on 27th May 2015.

Hey SSBV, is the stamping done on your passports.? Did u recieve them? usually how many days it takes for visa stamping after PP submission?
