Hi friends got my PPR yesterday 26th May. Got my medicals done on 28-Apr-15 and TLU 3-May-15. I am 27-Oct-14 applicant.

Can you please tell me what TLU/SLU means

This is for those who are not aware of abbreviations being used so extensively in this forum. Initially I faced difficulty understanding them too.
Please correct me if i am wrong.

FLU: first line update i.e. "We received your appl. for PR on ____"
SLU: Third line update i.e. "We started processing your applic. on ___"
TLU: Third line update i.e. "Medical results have been received"
DM: Decision Made i.e " A decision has been made on your applic. The office will contact you concerning this decision"

All these updates you can check online on your profile to be created on cic.gc.ca

Now intimation that you receive through email from visa office are:
1) PER: Positive evaluation report
2) MR: Medical request that u receive after SLU.
3) PPR: Passport request that u receive after DM. In my case DM & PPR were on same day.

Hope this will help new joinees.

Guys anyone waiting for PPR whose DM was done between 15th May - 20th May.... Mine DM was done on 19th May... Still waiting for the PPR.. This wait is really tough...

I am going to wait for their answer till today evening. Else I will apply for renewal of passport tomorrow.

My son's case is different as he born in UK and hence they said that the renewal process will be through RPO not through PSK. In such case I am not sure how much time they will take to renew.

Is it still ok to renew passport after having PPR? Any one has come across such situation? Plz advice.

I think you can renew your son's passport after having PPR, if you can manage within 30 days deadline or you can ask for an extension citing the reasons

Question @ police certificate

I got police verification certificate by directly applying to police commissioner office
I did not get PCC from passport office as it takes time and we have to send to VO in 30 days

the certificate I got is for current address (Gandhinagar) only where I live since last 7 months

I have lived at different locations(a-bad, G-nagar, other cities) in last some years but all in Gujarat

do I need to submit police certificate from all police stations under which I lived?

also I lives at 3 different places in a-bad itself

can the VO reject my application for not supplying all certificates?

In medicals mail they also asked for marriage certificate (Stamped with registrar of marriage, no other stamp) which i already provided, and questionnaire on marriage....
Anyone who is having idea what is this...

Dear Nilesh,
PCC is issued from passport office not from police station. Police station falling within your current residence just needs to be mentioned in your PCC application so that police verification can be done by that police station. Dont panic, changes in addresses are just required to be mentioned in your application form and it won't create any problem for you. The PCC certificate doesn't mention your addresses it just says that "there is no criminal record and the person is eligible for emigrating to Canada". Nowdays all police stations are connected through network so it is the responsibility of your current police station to check your criminal records with all the other police stations in Gujarat. So u just don't worry.
