Finally the wait is over and patience has paid off big time. By the grace of God and blessing of our parents, we have received our PPR in the afternoon today from WARSAW. I would like to thank each and every one of you here in this forum for the support and type of encouragement that you guys show towards people whom you have not met, not know etc.
It was a journey that i will never forget in life and never get away from this forum as this the prime source of info for every bit about Canada.

Yeah, you're right. I have concentrated too much on this issue.

May be I should get some other activity which could consume my energy. Actually I try my best to be engaged with clients and co-ordination with juniors to get my mind off this CIC update thing. But do not know why bt its always there at the back of my mind.

But all these things aside, I really appreciate that you cared to write this much because I was disheartened. Thanks a lot. It means a lot to me.

You are not alone. There are 136 reported applicants waiting for PPR since May. There are many unreported applicants out there who may not be a part of this forum and are in similar situation. To sum it up. This seems to be a global issue. They are holding back due to some reason beyond our knowledge. On the bright side they will aim to process 80% of applications within 12 months as per NDVO. Remember! Your vo for processing may be Warsaw. But our chosen VO is NDVO so Warsaw is bound by the processing timelines of NDVO.

Eventhough we applied for ndvo, its warsaw who is processing. I thought its warsaw time that was applicable. Thanks for clarification.

And on top of that one year validity of the visa is calculated from the Medicals date, so they need to hurry anyhow unless they see some misrepresentation of any kind. So, bluestone (we call you Neelam in Hindi, which is very precious so are you), please be with us.

I had heard that "You get the best persons and best moments unexpectedly."

I did not know if someone would care if I m there or not. I just wanted to wish and say good bye. I deleted the account and just went away to check application status. That CIC page was not working properly so I came back for a while on this Warsaw page and I saw comments of you guys and I thought situation is not really that bad. Some caring friends are there to share these rough patches with me.

So I just logged in and restored my account.

mere bro we all in d same boat ,,and we all are feeling same ,,,so its betr to b together for that reason ,,life is very tuff my bro ,,with this attitude its hard to srvive in canada ,,,bro i am also like u ,,i went to canada became emotional and came back ,,now i realised that by not having patience we loose even the most important things in our life ,,just believe in god and pray ,,,god knws wat time is rite for us brother
Today i deeply pray for all my frnds who are waiting for mr/ppr /slu that god plz make the wait short and give us patience ...allow us to put the anchor down and get off the boat to touch our dreamland

Hello all,

This post could be irritating while you are all waiting for your PPR but I thought of sharing my experiences for those who have already reached stage 4.

Most of you can see my time-lines on the left side. I am currently in Ottawa, Canada and its been 45 days in Canada and found a job in Ottawa itself after 40 days. Weather is good here as summer has started.

Most of you have been thinking that many active forum members became inactive once they got their visa or landed in Canada. It is not deliberately done but things will change suddenly once you start packing the things and land in Canada. Its a completely different world where you need be very strong in embracing the change, culture and things around you.

Here are few things I'd suggest you to do some ground work for the people who are aspiring to land in coming months

1/ goto canada job sites like indeed.ca, workopolis, monster and try to find jobs which match your skillset.
2/ Do not apply to any one of them. Try to understand what exactly they are asking in the job description
3/ Do some work in understanding the things they've asked in the job. Try to learn them before hand. Online / youtube will work
4/ Try to find resume online. I'd suggest indeed.ca to find existing resumes
5/ Research everything. Try to take notes for the every job you see. List down everything you know or don't know
6/ Create LinkedIn profile and try to connect canadian recuiters/headhunters. search for companies like procom, quantum, randstad, hays, adecco etc..Send emails via linkedin to recruiters that you would be available soon and try to get connected.

I hope this helps for certain individuals to get a kick start.

Once you are here start attending workshops / meeting new people to find the hidden jobs. It would certainly take few weeks to months to get a first job. Getting a job is NOT impossible and everybody gets settled here in Canada.

I will post whatever I find useful to this community whenever I find time but I wont be far away from you all.
