i think when the file is assigned to visa officer or team from processing AOR is issued.
...>>> when they pick up your file to start process ...

and when visa officer or the team is satisfied with the documents provided SLU IS UPDATED

Thanks for your response...
my application was recieved by CIC on 16 October. my PCC was issued on 21 August. PER in Jan, SLU in April and medical request last week.

Do you think it's because the PCC is too old. What I find strange is my Qatar PCC was issued around the same time. CIC has only asked me to send Indian PCC again. Any clue why?y

Can u help me regarding qatar pcc? How many days it took u to get it done? I need it for my husband, here embassy in india has told that it would take 90 days minimum to get it done. If we go through some friend of ours in Qatar, then I am not sure about the timings. So I am confused now that of I ask for extension of time from WVO, how many days days should I mention?

I think they issue aor after the file is transferred but before processing starts. SLU states the date when your file gets in processing line

No buddy, in my case thy only asked for rprf, medical, pcc, and passport copies...
my suggestion is do what they have asked....its just fr their records,,,no harm in it...follow their instructions...

AOR in itself stands for Acknowledgement of Receipt.

Once the VO starts working on it they update Second Line on eCAS which reads as "We started processing your application on XX/XX/XXXX"

I also got PER on 31/3 n still no AOR............ nobody can clarify y its delay as w8 n it will be clarified itself. god will do all good....
