FSWP : one year continuous work experience with two employers

Hi all,

Just a quick question. I had two jobs over the course of a year, one after the other, one is 6 months, the other 9 months.

Both are full time jobs, thesame job title and duties. Thesame NOC .

There was no break in between. I ended one on a Friday and resumed the other the following Monday.

Would combining both be eligible for 1 year continuous work experience under FSWP.

Yes, no problem with the appropriate reference letters.

Just further, Canadian work experience does not need to be continuous for CRS points.

Just to clarify, OP is asking about FSWP and not CEC.

While waiting for a reply here I asked a Lawyer who said the one year job has to be with one employer.
Is there anyone who has been in this situation before and has been successful in applying? ie. 1 year work experience with two employers?

I had the same issue whilst trying to apply through MyCIC last year, and the system did not accept it (my profile ended up being ineligible), so I had to wait until now where I compiled the appropriate amount of hours with 1 employer. I don't know if they have the same issue this year, or it has been changed.

If you're curious, you can always try submitting an EE, worst case scenario, your profile will just end up being ineligible.
