Hey guys, FSW here, i did my medical and BIL on 21 september, that time after adding my biometrics to my account, the Background check status was : we processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information.

today it became : Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.

What does this mean ?
It appears that your background check is at the first "In Progress" stage, commonly referred to as IP1. See the following links for an overview of the "stages" that your application can pass through. These were compiled pre-COVID but since we're reverting to normal processing timelines they might be applicable.

VO: Vancouver
AOR: Jul-2021
1st Med passed: 16-Nov-2021
Biometric: 18-Nov-2021
1st GU: 14-Apr-2022
No ADR
1st medical expired:19-Jun-2022
Upfront remedical: 21-Jun-2022
Medical passed again: 08-Aug-2022
2nd GU: 26-Sep-2022
RFV: 06-Oct-2022

Did upfront PCC, 2nd Medical and PoF submitted on 21-Jun-2022.

After several calls I discovered that Eligibility has been on "Recommend-passed" since 13-May-2022 and later passed on 24-Sep-2022. Thus, its seems that the 1st Medical (probably about to expire) stall the eligibility for 4 months. All other parameters have been passed since May 2022:
Eligibility: Recommed Passed on 13-May-2022
Security: Passed on 14-April-2022
Criminality: Passed on 16-Nov-2021
1st Medical: Passed on 16-Nov-2021
info sharing: In-progress

Finally after almost 50 days of dealing with the corrupt Police officials(Indian) to get PCC clearance, we finally did it! AOR 7th Oct 2022!
We already have biometrics done, for previous applications (IEC for me, tourist visa for my partner), we both had upfront medicals done. I already have work permit approved (IEC). So I'm hoping, we might get bit faster processing  but deep down I have settled with 12 months of processing time at least :p.

How did you do it? I'm currently being denied a PCC because I didn't bribe the policemen who came for verification lmao

I have a question about the proof of work. I've been accepted in the pool recently and one of the messages I received in my profile said that it's better to start gathering the documents cause it may take a while for some of them to get ready. I've decided to get the reference letters from companies I've worked for but it might take 6 months or more for me to receive an ITA. Is it OK to submit that letter to the profile? or they might reject it since It was written several months ago.

Its better to get that letter when you receive your ITA as it shows that you are still working. In case you leave the job get it after your last shift.
