In a sense I am grateful to be home. My grandmother just passed away today. Im glad I was able to spend her last couple years with her. My grandfather is also old, but in much better health. I want to be with him as much as I can as well being the oldest in the family.

Lol have given up now. Its just bull crap at this point. They keep changing rules every other day. Planning for Ireland now. Enough is enough. Good luck to all of you aspirants. Hope y'all make it.
I can understand that feeling. The inconsistency in FSW made me wait for 3 years to get my ITA, but there was something to be learned out of it.

Focus on direction over tactics. CRS scores through IELTS + degrees are a mere joke imo. IELTS is a shit easy test. No one should expect to score a CLB 9 in this joke of a test and expect to stay competitive. French is a little bit more tough for new learners, but isn't a mountain to climb,

If Canada is just another country where people think they can live - maybe they were thinking about it in the wrong way.

People should display a degree of thoughtfulness in building immigration plans. If you feel you are thoughtful enough, pick up big guns and fight for what you can.

We see these stories in AU and UK too. Learn from the past and do what you can to not repeat the same mistakes.

Again PNP only draw today with less than 700 invitations. I dont understand at this rate how they’re going to meet their target of taking 425K immigrants this year ?

This is sad, just 667 invitations! This is bad news regardless whether you are FSW or PNP. More ITAs = better for everyone.

They have enough inventory to land more than 425k immigrants this year.
Only landed immigrants are counted as permanent residents if you go through the backlog for economic immigration, family and all other classes, so they may be going forward with targeted draws.

For all the other draw pauses there was a reason: COVID, new NOC system. But this pause is really weird. I really cannot find a logical explanation for this one.

NOC-based draws maybe?
I don't think they will implement bill C19 this year. As per the language in the bill, they were REQUIRED to announce the categories by the 5th session of the parliament this year, which they didn't. So I think they will push this back to next year. I am not sure if they will be allowed to implement it this year since they missed the announcement.

They can sleep for rest of the year till July. Resume 2x 5,550 ITAs each month and still meet their targets in 6 months. It is up-to them on how they want to prioritize making those draws.
